Stoke and the Potteries are my patch. From wedding receptions at Dunwood Hall to corporate evenings at the DoubleTree, and Newcastle-under-Lyme parties from the suburbs to the campus - I bring sleight of hand, mind reading, comedy and pickpocketing that has guests forgetting their own postcode.

Hey! I'm Close-Up Chris
Performing close-up magic across Stoke and the Potteries since 1998 - wedding receptions at Dunwood Hall, corporate evenings at the DoubleTree by Hilton, and quieter house parties tucked away in Alsager, Leek, and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The venues vary by the week. The look on guests' faces when something impossible happens twelve inches from them - that doesn't.
I'm a regular at Newcastle-under-Lyme College's open days - one of the few annual gigs I genuinely look forward to every year. Beyond that, the rest of the calendar is weddings at Trentham Gardens, corporate magician evenings at Keele Hall, party magician gigs at the DoubleTree, and the odd surprise booking in places like Biddulph or Kidsgrove. Same set every time - sleight of hand, mind reading, pickpocketing and a fair bit of dry comedy.

Something Different
You won't find this anywhere else. The Close-Up Corner is the UK's first and only dedicated magic booth - a 3-metre backdrop, LED lighting, and a magic table where small groups get an intimate magic show right in front of them.
It draws crowds like a magnet and gives your Stoke event a focal point that lasts all night. I've set it up at Newcastle-under-Lyme parties, wedding receptions across the Potteries, and corporate evenings everywhere from Hanley to Cheadle. If you want something your guests have genuinely never seen before, this is it.
