Performing at events across Worcester and Worcestershire every week. From weddings at Stanbrook Abbey to corporate hospitality at Sixways - I bring sleight of hand, mind reading, comedy and pickpocketing that turns any event into the one your guests won't stop talking about.

Hey! I'm Close-Up Chris
Worcester and the wider Worcestershire countryside have been part of my regular circuit for years. Stanbrook Abbey, Diglis House Hotel, The Wood Norton, Curradine Barns, Sixways - I know the venues, the coordinators, and exactly where to set up so every table gets a show.
I combine four disciplines into one set - sleight of hand, mind reading, pickpocketing and comedy. Most magicians in Worcestershire offer one. I do all four, and I've had 28 years to sharpen them. Whether it's a black-tie dinner overlooking the Malvern Hills or a birthday party in Droitwich Spa, I'll read the room, work the crowd, and make you look like the host who thought of everything.
See it in action
This is what happens when a magician turns up who doesn't just do card tricks. Real gasps, real laughter, and the kind of reactions your event photographer lives for. Sleight of hand, mind reading, and comedy that gets the whole room talking.
I've performed at everything from corporate events at Brockencote Hall to house parties in Bromsgrove. The venue changes. The reactions don't.

You won't find this anywhere else. The Close-Up Corner is the UK's first and only dedicated magic booth - a 3-metre backdrop, LED lighting, and a magic table where small groups get an intimate show right in front of them.
It draws crowds like a magnet and gives your Worcestershire event a focal point that lasts all night. I've set it up at venues from Kidderminster to Malvern, private parties in Redditch, and corporate functions in Bewdley. If you want something your guests have genuinely never experienced before, this is it.
