Two years before her wedding, I met Sophie at a wedding fayre. She walked up to the Close-Up Corner, watched me work, and booked on the spot. Her brief - delivered with a smile that suggested she meant it - was simple: show her guests something that'd make their eyes pop out.
Fast forward to August at Mythe Barn - a contemporary oak barn near Sheepy Magna with walled gardens, exclusive use, and a courtyard begging for the Close-Up Corner to set up shop in. Sophie and Nathan had booked me for the drinks reception originally, then added the evening the week before the wedding. Smart move.

The venue and the setup

That was Sophie's brief, and she meant it. After the wood-fired pizza oven kicked into gear at the outdoor kitchen, I served up the Close-Up Corner one more time - culminating in a 10-minute VIP set just for Sophie, Nathan and their besties. No one else at the wedding saw that material.
