Corporate occasions need not be stuffy events – hire an incredible Close Up Magician to wow the troupes. Great for award nights, impressing new and existing clients or for novel entertainment for the Christmas party. Close Up Magic can be the perfect icebreaker!
With countless events under my belt, I know the drill! I’ve experienced every type of audience and performing condition.
For large events, I have collaborated up with a superb selection of other Professional Magicians who I can call upon to help spread the magic.
As a rough rule of thumb, one Derbyshire Magician can cover 80-100 guests over a two hour period. If your expected crowd is over 100 guests, hiring a second magician will be a good idea.
I love a good party! If you’re celebrating a milestone party, send me an invite! I’ll entertain your guests with some outstanding magic and entertainment – the type that produces “Oh my God’s”, “WTF’s” and other obscenities!
Hiring a Mix and Mingle magician is great for house parties but let me introduce to you the Room of Mystery (see this page). The most INCREDIBLE format to guarantee memories long remembered after the Amaretto Sours have worn off!
I also offer the “Close-Up Corner” format. This is the BEST way to utilise a close-up magician.
Presenting the magic in this way helps eradicate some of the issues faced by parties: loud music, low light, interrupting guests and really helps draw the best in your magician and his audience!
Firstly, if you’re looking for cheap, I’m not him! I understand everyone has a budget but if you’re limited to what you can spend, my advice is you save your pennies!
It’s been said, you get what you pay for and this is definitely true. Searching for the cheapest Derbyshire Magician may seem like a good idea but ultimately, it will be money wasted. There’s nothing worse than watching a performer that can’t deliver for your event. More so a magician who can’t engage, keep focus and wow his audience.
Expect to pay from £450 for a quality Derbyshire Close up Magician. Other factors will increase this; time of year (December & Wedding Season), location (London Magicians charge more), additional hours required, type of event etc.
This isn’t a hard and fast rule though. There will be exceptions but can you afford to take a risk? If you have received a quote that is significantly lower than £450 for two hours, do a little investigation; Search for videos and recent photos of the performer in action – are the audience having a great time? Next, check for recent reviews on third-party platforms such as Google and FreeIndex.
